A good number of Wisconsin wrestlers will make the trek to North Carolina to compete in the well-known Super 32 tournament later this month. Here’s a few individuals to keep an eye on.

In the new Super 32 girls division, Wisconsin entries include 2017 Pan Am Champions Jayden Laurent (Bay Port) and Hannah Ramos (Kenosha). Both girls will be contenders to win their weight classes.

Arrowhead wrestler Keegan O’Toole who finished 4th at Fargo’s national Freestyle tournament is looking for his spot on the podium. It’s no secret O’Toole is an AWA favorite. At 126 pounds, he’ll have a tough uphill climb as this weight is stacked with talented wrestlers. Insider’s info: Keegan doesn’t run from the tough matches and doesn’t cut weight. He wants to become a national champion, but not by seeking smaller opponents. He wants to beat the best and he’s on his way there!

With O’Toole at 126 is two-time state runner-up Aaron Schulist of Mukwonago. Both train at Askren Wrestling. Schulist is also very talented with an impressive finish at Fargo claiming All-American status, but not quite the accolades of O’Toole.
Insider’s info: Schulist went 126 at WIAA State last season and didn’t have the results he hoped for. Schulist is now coming back with a vengeance. Schulist has an excellent shot of reaching the podium and not letting anything or anyone be a roadblock towards achieving his goals. With several recent college visits, look for a big announcement from him very soon.

Badger commit Jeremy Schoenherr is looking to make his mark at 138 pounds. The Stratford wrestler is tough and has an impressive wrestling resume with state and national wins. There are many big names in his bracket, but this tournament will give him the opportunity to turn some heads.
Insider’s Info: Schoenherr is on independent study right now living in Madison training . He’ll return to high school for one last season. He’s on an entirely different level and will be an exciting wrestler to watch.

Heavyweight Keaton Kluever from the Kaukauna powerhouse is looking to continue to build on his high school legacy. Kluever has proven he has the tools to get the job done as an entertaining wrestler with big throws.
Insider’s info: There is rumors he’ll be graduating high school early, after second trimester (after ‘State) to prepare himself for college wrestling.

Eric Barnett (Hortonville) has impressive wrestling skills and could reach the podium here if he makes the weight.
Insider’s info: He’s frustrated with his performance at World Team Trials and Fargo and has one thing on his mind; becoming a national champion.

Aidan Medora will be at 132. Calling Brookfield Academy his home, Medora is tough as nails. With an amazing 2nd place at Fargo Freestyle this year, Medora is looking to make one step higher on the podium. Like O’Toole, Medora doesn’t chase after smaller weight classes or big weight cuts. He wants to beat the best.
Insider’s info: He’s looking for wins not friends. He’s an exciting wrestler to watch.

Joseph Bianchi is the 126 pounder from Two Rivers. His younger brother Matthew is a national champion as is his older brother Paul. Despite no national title on his resume, he’s proven time and again he is equally as talented as his siblings. He’s no stranger to the big events, consistently on the attack and doesn’t get rattled by wrestling the big names. Insider’s info: He’s been working hard on the offseason with big goals.

Jared Krattiger at 182 from Waterford is a beast and it’s guaranteed his opponents will never forget wrestling him. It’s a tough uphill climb for his opponents to score on him.
Insider’s info: Krattiger is ready for college. Few high schoolers in the nation can match his strength and determination.

Zach Lee (Kaukauna) will be at 160. Lee will also have a tough battle as 160 a lot of talent. Zach has proven both in state and national competition he can score on the best.
Insider’s info: Like Schulist we expect a big announcement very soon regarding his college of choice.

Also from Arrowhead, Josh Otto will take on the Super 32 with an impressive resume. A Fargo All American and WIAA 3rd place finisher, Otto has also placed at or near the top in numerous national events.

Other Wisconsin wrestlers at the event will include Cody Minor, Zachary Licht, Eric Bauer, Zeke Smith, Sam Stuhl, Cian Fischer and Drew Scharenbrock. Although several of these wrestlers have some impressive wins in Wisconsin, most do not have significant wins on the national level and will have a lot to prove at Super 32. This event is advertised as one of the toughest high school wrestling events in the nation.

Every Wisconsin wrestler signed up for this event has the ability to meet their goals and this talented group of young men should represent Wisconsin well.
