Timeout with … Hannah Ramos
By DAVE BOEHLER email@example.com Jul 5, 2017
Bradford wrestler Hannah Ramos competed in her second Cadet Pan American Championships last weekend in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The soon-to-be junior, who qualified for the last Pan Am Games in Mexico but did not participate because of a knee injury, is in the 65-kilo (143 pounds) weight class in the Freestyle format. She earned her spot at the Pan Am Games by taking second place in the Women’s Nationals held in Irving, Texas, in May.
After her final training practice July 3 in Ohio, Ramos took a “Timeout” with the Kenosha News:
Q: So how did you get started in wrestling?
A: I saw my brothers wrestling. And my dad (Shane) was a state champ, so I’ve been around wrestling forever. So I was like, ‘well, this looks fun. I want to do what they’re doing.’ So I got on the mat one day and haven’t stopped since.
