Jauch Announced as Finalist for Most Valuable Coach Program!

PAT JAUCH (MILTON) ANNOUNCED IN THE FINAL 15 IN U.S. CELLULAR MOST VALUABLE COACH PROGRAM

Monday, Oct. 23 at 2:00 p.m. U.S. Cellular will host a check presentation for Coach Jauch at Milton High School.

U.S. Cellular will award Coach Jauch with $5,000 and host an event to highlight the 15 finalists
and encourage fan voting through Nov. 14

MILTON, WIS. (Oct. 12, 2017) – Today, U.S. Cellular announced the Final 15 coaches in its Most
Valuable Coach program, which includes Pat Jauch of Milton High School. Through Nov. 14 at 11:59 a.m.
CT, fans can vote for their favorite of the remaining 15 coaches at TheMostValuableCoach.com. The
winning coach will receive a $50,000 donation to the charitable organization of their choosing or their high
school athletic department and a trip to Orlando, Fla., for an on-field recognition at the Under Armour
High School All-America Game.

U.S. Cellular will host local celebratory events to honor each Final 15 coach and create and post a short
video detailing each coach’s story on TheMostValuableCoach.com. The company will also award the
school of each Final 15 coach with $5,000 to use however they choose.

coaches share our passion and dedication for serving our local communities which is evident by their

U.S. Cellular’s Most Valuable Coach program began on Aug. 22 and gave people the opportunity to
honor high school coaches who lead by example, strengthen their teams and give back to their
communities.

8. Ryan Groom, North Mahaska Community School District, New Sharon, Iowa
9. Pat Jauch, Milton High School, Milton, Wis.
10. Travis Kowalski, Holmen High School, Holmen, Wis.
11. August Manz, Thomas Jefferson High School, Council Bluffs, Iowa

A panel of judges including Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Kurt Warner, will help to determine the
Most Valuable Coach. Along with the online public voting, which will count as twenty percent of the final
score, the judging panel will evaluate the Final 15 coaches based on their leadership qualities and the
positive impact they have had on their community, school and players. The winning coach will be
announced at noon CT on Nov. 20.

Jauch named a Top-50 Most Valuable Coach

Milton High School’s Pat Jauch is among the Top 50 nominees for U.S. Cellular’s Most Valuable Coach program.

Jauch, an MHS social studies teacher, is the head wrestling coach and assistant baseball coach.
Jauch told the Milton Courier he’s honored to be nominated.

“It’s pretty crazy really – I was shocked to get nominated and even more shocked when I found out I made the Top 50,” he said. “We have great teachers, coaches and club advisers here at MHS – the kind of people that go the extra mile for kids on a regular basis. It’s really rare that anybody gets recognized like this, so it’s really humbling for me.”

Jauch said he appreciates the kind words and support that he’s received.

The public can vote for their favorite coach among the Top 50 nominees between now and 11:59 a.m. on Oct. 9 at TheMostValuableCoach.com .

After thousands of nominations were submitted, these Top 50 coaches are now listed on TheMostValuableCoach.com.
