STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point athletic department announced Jeff Bartkowiak will be inducted into the UWSP Athletics Hall of Fame.

Jeff Bartkowiak (1989-1993) was a participant of the 1989 to 1993 UW-Stevens Point wrestling teams under head coach, Marty Loy. Competing in the 134 lb. weight class, Bartkowiak accumulated a record of 89 wins, 208 takedowns and 13 career pins. With these results, it is no surprise he had won back-to-back individual and team conference championships in 1992 and 1993. Ultimately leading to two NCAA Division III All-American titles for fourth-place finishes in 1992 and 1993. Bartkowiak graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in economics.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Friday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Laird Room of the Dreyfus University Center. The inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the football game on Oct. 14 against UW-Eau Claire.

This year’s inductees are Bartkowiak (Wrestling), Cody Childs (Football), Shelly Maus (Volleyball), Mike Mead (Track and Field), Chad Robran (Track and Field), Savonte Walker (Women’s Soccer and Basketball) and the 1983 Track and Field 4×800 and 4×400 relay teams.
