Renew your USAW Membership

Your USA Wrestling membership expires on August 31st. Renew your membership to participate in USAW events (WWF included) for 2017-2018.

USA Wrestling rolled out a new membership system for the upcoming season. Create an account to claim memberships held previously.

What Age Group am I? Divisions are based on birth years.

USA Wrestling and WWF events:

School Girls: 2004-2005
Cadets: 2003-2002
Juniors: 1999-2000-2001 & enrolled in high school

Women’s Nationals in May is a United World Wrestling (UWW) event:

UWW School Girls: 2004-2005
UWW Cadets: 2003-2002-2001
UWW Juniors: 1998-1999-2000
(2001 with a medical certificate)

READ THIS: The following events include what we know right now for the 2017-2018 season.

  • They are subject to change.
  • WWF events are listed first followed by other opportunities.
  • Preseason and folkstyle are self-funded. The athlete is responsible for registration, transportation, and hotel, etc.
  • Coaches are provided for WWF events ONLY.
  • WWF Women’s Freestyle Program Athlete Fees to be determined.

October, November

October 21-22 Wrestle Like a Girl Camp, River Falls – ages 5-18

  • Cost $100
  • Register online
  • Transportation, hotel, and food are athlete responsibility.
  • WWF Parent meeting on Saturday morning after camp begins
  • High School Freestyle Dual against Canada on Saturday night

November 3-4 WWCA Clinic/Wrightstown WWF Camp

  • High School Freestyle dual vs Team Illinois on Friday night at WWCA Clinic & Banquet
  • Two session freestyle camp for schoolgirls, cadets and juniors on Saturday at Wrightstown High School with Team Illinois. Camp cost – $20.

WIAA High School Folkstyle Season (Nov-Feb)

The WI Girls HS Wrestling Committee is comprised of members from the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association (WWCA) Executive Committee and the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation (WWF) Board of Directors. The leadership of both of these organizations support the sanctioning of girls high school wrestling in Wisconsin. To that end, members of the committee have created three additional opportunities for girls vs. girls competition at WIAA sanctioned events for this coming season.

These are WIAA sanctioned invitationals that will be holding a separate girls division as part of the invitational. You must be a member of your high school wrestling team.

  • December 16 Marty Loy Invitational, Fond du Lac
  • December 23 Badger State Invitational, Madison
  • January 6 Bauer Brawl Invitational, West Allis Nathan Hale
  • January 20 Wisconsin Wrestling Challenge Series ‘Girls Championship’ All team levels, Wausau
    (Wisconsin Wrestling Challenge Series Finals)

In addition, the WWF will move its girls high school folkstyle state from March to February. This will be a USA Wrestling open event. Day memberships will be facilitated for high school athletes who are not USA Wrestling members.

March- July

March 18 WWF Training Camp, Stevens Point – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors
April 13-15 WWF Training Camp with Minnesota – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors

  • Athlete fees will cover registration. Transportation and hotel are athlete’s responsibility.

May 5 WWF Freestyle State, Wisconsin Dells – youth, schoolgirls, cadets, juniors
May 6 WWF Training Camp, Mauston – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors
May 11-13 Women’s Nationals, Irving, TX(?) – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors

  • Athlete fees will cover hotel and registration. Transportation is athlete’s responsibility.

May 19-20 Northern Plains Regional, Rochester, MN – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors

  • Athlete fees will cover hotel and registration. Transportation is athlete’s responsibility.

June 8-10 WWF Training Camp, Middleton – schoolgirls, cadets, juniors
June 19-23 Junior Duals, Oklahoma City, OK – cadets, juniors

  • Duals will no longer be in Fargo.
  • Team Wisconsin to be determined at previous camps.

July 12-14 Cadet WWF Pre-Fargo Camp, River Falls – cadets only
July 14-16 Junior WWF Pre-Fargo Camp, River Falls – juniors only
July 15-20 Fargo Nationals (dates to be finalized)

  • Athlete fees will cover hotel, transportation, and registration for one tournament only. High school-aged Cadets wishing to compete in the Junior tournament must pay Junior tournament registration. Cadets competing in the Junior tournament will be subject to coach approval.
