I hope this email finds you well.  We are very thankful to be able to send these updates to people who care for the program and our student athletes.  Amidst all the competitions its good to briefly take a step back and see what we do for what it is.  Our job is to provide the best possible experience for the student athlete here at UW.  We try to do this in three ways do all we can to help them reach their goals on the mat, push and support them in their pursuits in the classroom, and have real life conversations that help develop character.  As we get ready for the Big Ten tournament we are still looking to help our athletes in all three of these areas.

We have now won 4 straight dual meets to end our regular season! This has provided the needed confidence and momentum as we head into the postseason.  We are very proud of how our team competed on Sunday, sending our SR. class off on a high note.  Winning the dual vs. a strong Central Michigan squad was rewarding but more encouraging was the way we competed.  We wrestled smart and aggressive.  A lot of what weve been focusing on was on display as we rode hard, got off the bottom, and earned some big wins.  Johnny Jimenez, Ricky Robertson, and Andrew Crone all beat opponents who were ranked higher than they were.  Connor and Isaac ended their field house careers with bonus point wins.  Connor is now leading the nation in technical falls, hes not your average heavyweight!

We are going to miss our whole senior class greatly.  Ryan Taylor, Isaac Jordan, Santonio Cathery, Connor Medbery, TJ Ruschell, Rylan Lubeck, and Jarod Donar are guys who helped bridge the gap from 2012 until where we are now.  These guys have all contributed to the program and will be remembered as a class that brought UW from taking last placed in the big ten tournament to being in contention to finish in the top 10 in the country this year.  We are proud of who they are on and off the mat! Thank you Seniors!

A quick reminder NCAA tickets are currently on sale through the UW ticket office. Below is the link to order them in the Wisconsin section we’d love for as many Badger fans as possible to make the trip to St. Louis this year!
