Thielke, Provisor win Olympic Team Positions at OTT

Iowa City, Iowa – Jesse Thielke (Germantown, WI) and Ben Provisor secured position on the USA Wrestling 2016 Olympic team with solid victories in the Olympic Team Trials at the University of Iowa Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.

Both advanced to the Saturday evening Finals and won the first two matches in the best of three final series.

Thielke’s weight class has not qualified for the the 2016 Rio Olympics at this time. Jesse will have to secure a spot for the US Olympic Team by wrestling and placing in one of the following ‘last chance’ tournaments: Mongolia (place in top three) or Turkey (top two places) prior to Rio.

For Provisor it is his second Olympic Team birth as he was a member of the 2012 USA Olympic Team.
