College Wrestling

     College wrestling is going on right now.

     You may not have noticed this, because it gets zero publicity, which is wrong. 

     Some TV station should pick it up. I mean they show college basketball and football all the time; why not wrestling?
It’s a lot more exciting, with action the entire time.

     For instance, look at the Badgers. They are never in the paper at all. It’s ridiculous. You find the same thing with all of our Wisconsin colleges.

     And another thing; high school kids should go to more meets. It’s hard to do because they wrestle all over the country. But if you get the chance to go, get there. It’s much better quality wrestling than high school, because it’s obviously better wrestlers. The only somewhat boring part is riding time, but it is good to have in the sport.

     If you go you will quickly figure out they wrestle seven minute matches, not six. They go 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 2 minutes. I find this amazing because six is hard, so just think how hard they train to be able to go SEVEN.

     It would be great to see college wrestling on TV more often than we do currently. ESPN usually shows the National finals each year. Or you may hear it on radio. I’d just like to see it more publicized. Period
