Officials

Well if you have been to a tournament lately you have probably noticed that the officiating has been horrible for the most part.  There are some exceptions though.  The refs almost seem scared of the crowd or the coach in the chair.  Which is weird, because they are the ones in control.

Here are some of the things that refs aren’t doing that I wish they were.  First they don’t seem to care anymore if someone launches their headgear to the moon.  I mean I saw one ref look right at a kid throw his headgear and he just turned away.  Next they aren’t giving out stalling warnings and points very well. I mean a kid could be stalling the whole match and not get called for it until the 3rd period.  Finally the are so inconsistent at calling pins its pathetic.  I mean one kid could be buried on their back for the whole period and not get pinned and the next kid could have a shoulder up and squirming around and get pinned in five seconds.

Its not easy to be a official, I just wish they would do a better job.
