Kilty Cadet OW | 7 WI Girls Medals | 2 Champs | 1 All-WI Final

The USA Wrestling Girls Cadet finals/medal matches wrestled Tuesday featured a number of highs for the Wisconsin team.

Macy Kilty 127lb (Stratford) was awarded the Outstanding Wrestler Award based on her performance over the two day event. Kilty defeated team mate Ashton Cadman (Waterford) in the final. Along the way Macey accumulated five shut out victories, outscoring opponents 47-0.

Kilty and team mate Natalie Kemp (DeForest) each captured titles at their respective weights.

Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton) 106lb, earned the Most Falls, Least Amount of Time award.

Wisconsin female Cadets sent four members to the USA Wrestling Jr./Cadet Nationals finals and seven total into medal matches at Fargo, North Dakota Tuesday.

In an all-Wisconsin final at 127lb Ashton Cadman faced Macey Kilty for the ‘stop sign’ (shape of the champions plaque). The number one seeded Kilty (Stratford) emerged as champ with a 10-0 victory by superiority (VSU) over Cadman (Waterford)

In the 180lb class Champion Natalie Kemp (DeForest) faced Gabrielle Hamilton (Illinois).
Kemp scored three takedowns on the way to the victory over Hamilton.

At 152lb Kiana Pugh (Mosinee) grabbed second place after an 805 battle with Kelani Corbett of Hawaii in the finals. Pugh led 4-0 early in the first, but Corbett rallied with six unanswered points entering the second period where Pugh could muster only two more scores. The final was 8-5 Corbett.

The Wisconsin womens cadet team finished in 5th place overall.
