Pewaukee wrestlers win eight straight matches to secure dual meet
By Evan Frank Dec. 9, 2015
This was an important one to the Pewaukee wrestling team.
Facing off against Cedarburg, a fellow 2015 state team qualifier in Division 1, the Pirates won in impressive fashion Tuesday, 49-20.
“We had been looking forward to this showdown with Cedarburg since scheduling it with coach (Jake) Frias last spring,” Pewaukee coach Ed Kurth said. “Last January, we edged Cedarburg by a few points for the Fort Atkinson Tournament title thanks to a few upsets. Recent injuries to starters Conner Goodman (junior) and Mike Schall (senior) left us inserting inexperienced sophomores into the lineup.” (Read more)
