Dow, Schoenherr reach Jr. FS Finals | Medora Cadet FS Runner-Up

In the first year of USA Wrestling competing boys Freestyle prior to Greco, the Wisconsin team has placed three in those finals.
On Monday  afternoon (July 17) Aidan Medora (Milwaukee/St. Johns NW Military-Brookfield Academy) placed second to Minnesotas Carson Manville in the 132 pound Cadet Freestyle finals. Manville dominated the weight class, while Medora was the dominant presence on his side of the bracket. In the final, Medora maintained great position and motion, while Manville showed technical experience as a key. Leading 6-0, 15 seconds into the second period, Manville hit a toss for five points which results in a fall against Medora. Overall, Medora went 6-1, with four wins by technical superiority.
In other Cadet Boys Freestyle medal matches three Wisconsin wrestlers placed. Winning his final match, Logan Zschernitz (Spencer) placed fifth at 285lb. Keegan O`toole (Arrowhead) 126lb and Joshua Otto (Arrowhead) 152lb each placed fourth 4th.

In Junior Boys Freestyle action, Jeremy Schoenherr (Stratford) 138lb and Tyler Dow (Stoughton) 160lb advanced to Tuesdays Finals.
Aaron Schulist (Mukwonago) will wrestle for fifth place at 126 pounds.

Finals, Medal Matches and Awards are scheduled to begin for Junior Boys Freestyle at 2:00pm Tuesday.
