This clinic is for varsity, JV, freshmen, and junior high wrestlers who want to sharpen their skills as they begin the season. Coaches, send your wrestlers for an enjoyable day! We’ll get you motivated for a great season! Each session will present a biblical principle especially applicable for wrestlers.

Bailey leads MBBC wrestlers at North Central tournament

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Maranatha Baptist Bible College wrestling team participated in the North Central College Invitational Tournament this past weekend. The tournament included 21 colleges from throughout the Midwest.

Shamar Bailey placed third in his weight class at 174 pounds to pace the Crusaders' effort. Jason Tschida was also victorious in one of his matches. Andy Lingle and Chuck Hampton each lost one point decisions in hard-fought contests. The team placed 16th out of 21 teams.

Individual results of the North Central College Invitational were as follows:

133 - Marcus White (0-3); 141 - Jason Tschida (1-2); 157 - Chuck Hampton (0-2); 174 - Shamar Bailey (4-1) third place; 184 - Andy Lingle (0-2); 184 - Tim Struska (0-2)

Current individual records for MBBC wrestlers are as follows:

Shamar Bailey, 14-5; David Donnelly, 2-5; Chuck Hampton, 2-11; Andy Lingle, 3-11; Tim Struska, 0-5; Jason Tschida, 4-6; Marcus White, 2-8

The Crusaders (0-6 in dual meets) will travel to Concordia College on Saturday to participate in the Private College Invitational Tournament.
