UWEC Blugolds fall to No. 4 UW La Crosse Eagles | Dec 11, 2015

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. ( – The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire wrestling team hosted UW La Crosse on Friday night. The Blugolds would fall to the No. 4 ranked Eagles by a score of 38-6.
Following a successful day at Candlewood Suite Duals last week, Nathaniel Behnke (Sr.- Bruce, WI) gained another victory as he defeated Grant Sutton in extra time 9-7 at the 141-pound weight class. (Read more)

Broze posts wild comeback to bolster UWL Eagles over Luther (12-10-2015)
They weren’t points that the UW La Crosse wrestling team needed to win, but Clay Broze put an exclamation point on a successful night for the Eagles.
Broze, a freshman heavyweight, earned four points in the closing seconds of his bout to post a 9-7 decision over returning All-American senior Conner Herman to punctuate fourth-ranked La Crosse’s 35-6 win over 17th-ranked Luther College in front of 400 fans Thursday night at Mitchell Hall. (Read more)

UW Stevens Point wins at UW Platteville for third consecutive WIAC dual victory | 12/10/2015 PM
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW ­Stevens Point wrestling team was victorious in seven of the 10 weight classes to win its third consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual with a 29­-10 win at UW Platteville
on Thursday evening.
Joe Crook (Spring Green, WI/River Valley) got UW­ Stevens Point (3­3 – 3­0 WIAC) off to a strong start by pinning Trevor Harsh of UW­ Platteville (2­2, 0­2 WIAC) at 1:40 at 149 pounds.
The Pointers then picked up wins by decision from Boone Roycraft (Omro, WI/Winneconne) and Dan Squires (Muskego, WI/Wisconsin Lutheran), to offset a Pioneers win at 165 pounds, to give UWSP a 12­3 lead.
The teams traded wins from 184 pounds to 125 pounds, where Ben Vosters (Hatley, WI/Wittenberg­Birnamwood) picked up his team­best 15th win of the season, leaving the Pointers ahead 18­10. At 197 pounds, Bo Seibel
(Cambellsport, WI/Kewaskum) improved to 4­0 in dual matches this season with a 4­0 decision over Bryant Etherton.
UW­Stevens Point closed out the dual win with a pin from Clay Lieber (Nekoosa, WI/Nekoosa) at 5:34 at 133 pounds and a technical fall from Jared Kust (Shawano, WI/Shawano) at 3:50 in the final match of the night at 141 pounds.
The Pointers host Lakeland and Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 and 3 p.m. in Berg Gym. (Read more)

Wrestling Upends UW Platteville for First Dual Win | 12/8/2015 |
UW-Whitewater handed UW-Platteville (2-1, 0-1) its first dual loss of the season.
The No. 7 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team claimed six straight matches to jump out to a big lead Tuesday night in a 31-15 victory over UW-Platteville in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual match at Kachel Gymnasium.
Sophomore Isaiah Vela (West Chicago, Ill./St. Charles East), ranked second in the nation by the National Wrestling Coaches Association and third by, provided the highlight of the night for the Warhawks (1-2 overall, 1-1 WIAC), pinning the Pioneers’ Greg Osborn in just nine seconds at 149 pounds.
