Pete Rogers 2009 Pre-Season Intensive Training Camp
Our Philosophy
This camp has been designed to help you work toward your
full potential.
The Pete Rogers Pre-Season Intensive Wrestling Camp will be
held at Plymouth High School and instructed, counseled, and
organized by Lakeland College coaching staff and athletes.
Between 40 and 60 campers are expected for this two day
camp which makes it possible for the staff to give the wrestlers
a large amount of individual work. We prefer pre-registration if
possible and you may mail your application in early. Registration
on the day of the camp will also be accepted.

Counsel and instruction from the
Lakeland College Wrestling team
Each Student-athlete will leave the Pete Rogers Intensive
Wrestling Camp with a thorough knowledge of the major
areas of athletic development associated with the sport of
wrestling - technical, physical, mental, and nutritional.
The camp will focus on developing the technical component,
but the staff will also lecture on the mental and nutritional
preparation needed to excel in wrestling.
As clinicians, we are aware of the importance of one-on-one
instruction. Our staff is willing to help any athlete after sessions
to ensure that each and every wrestler gets the most
our of our camp.
Pete Rogers and Lakeland College Wrestling stress the importance
of all basic areas of wrestling - neutral, top, and bottom
- and feel that these basics are key components that are
necessary for success, not only at the high school level but at
the collegiate level as well.
Our philosophy on technique centers around use of the legs
and hips. An athlete’s power is in the legs and hips, and
these concepts are stressed throughout the camp. We believe
the ability to take down an opponent is of vital importance.
Most championships are won in the neutral position.
The Pete Rogers Pre-Season Intensive Wrestling Camp’s staff
believes people are measured not only by what they do, but
by the way they do it. During the camp, each student-athlete
will be taught that performing like a champion on the mat
requires acting like a champion off the mat.
