Bucks a Point fundraiser | Badger Wrestling Club

Bucks a Point fundraiser

It is time again for the Bucks a Point fundraiser in support of the Badger Wrestling Club. The “Bucks a Point” and The Kalscheur Steak Fry are the two major general fundraising efforts that we promote during the year. The money raised goes to support of our efforts to provide additional coaching and training support of the Badger Wrestling Team through funding post graduate athletes to train with the Badger Wrestling Team.

Our goal again this year is to raise over 15K with this effort. The structure is simple-you can either pledge an amount per point scored by the Badger Wrestling Team at the NCAA Wrestling Championships or just a set amount towards the effort. The current projections have us placing around 15th as a Team scoring in the mid 20’s for team points.

We appreciate the support of this program over the past two years. You are making a difference. Two years ago the Wisconsin RTC hosted the US World Team Trials and the Cadet World Team Camp. We were able to both again last year plus added Nazar Kulchytskyy and Camden Eppert as Regional Training Center athletes. We need to continue to look for opportunities with USA Wrestling and to support RTC athletes that train with the Badger Wrestling Team. These things have raised the profile of the program and are opening doors nationally for our recruiting efforts.

We will be reaching out to many of you individually but also hope some of you can simply respond to this e-mail. Donations to the Badger Wrestling Club are tax deductible. Those of you participating in the Bucks a Point will get e-mail updates each session of the NCAA Championships. You will get a reminder of the Bucks a Point program with the “Tuesdays with Barry” communication.

Thanks to all of you who have been following the Badger Team through the season.

Go Badgers!
