A little over a week ago, the Mukwonago wrestling program had never seen an All American come through its halls. One week later, that number has jumped to two.

Aaron Schulist, a three-time WIAA state place winner, became the first MHS All American on July 17 with a sixth-place finish in the 126-pound weight class at the USA Wrestling Junior National Freestyle tournament in Fargo, N.D.

“…I wrestled some three-time state champ from Iowa, and I actually had a comeback win against him. That was pretty cool. I was pretty satisfied with how I did.”

After winning a state title earlier this year, Aric Bohn finished third in the Greco Roman portion of the national tournament at 220.

Bohn said, “It was just a pretty fun experience overall. I really enjoy going to the tournament. You just know there is going to be crazy amounts of competition. It’s just really enjoyable.”

Bohn has focused heavily on training in the weight room and improving in the wrestling room as well.
