Wauwatosa Seeking Assistant Middle School Wrestling Coach

Wauwatosa is seeking an assistant wrestling coach for the Whitman Middle School wrestling programs. We wrestle in the Milwaukee Area Middle School Conference with the season running from January 31st to April 2nd. Practice runs from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Meets generally are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:15 p.m. Wrestling experience a must and coaching experience a plus. Salary for the 9 week season is $1,000. Could grow into head coaching position next year.

Graduate Assistant Wrestling Coach
Itasca Community College

Looking for a highly motivated individual to work with the Itasca
wrestling team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
assisting with recruiting, strength & conditioning, individual workouts,
technique, daily practice participation/planning. Experience in
collegiate wrestling as a coach or a competitor is preferred. Ability to
wrestle in practice daily is preferred. This is a great opportunity for
the right candidate to break into the college coaching scene.

Compensation includes a stipend, $4,000 tuition, and free room and
board.

Elementary/Middle School Wrestling Coach Needed:
The Challenger Wrestling Team is a K-8th youth wrestling club serving Glendale, Bayside, Fox Point and other North Shore areas generally with students feeding into Nicolet High School.  Our team is seeking an ambitious energetic coach at the elementary and middle school level.  The team is well established and has approximately 50-60 kids involved currently, but we would like the new coach to help solicit additional youth to participate.  The team practices Monday and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and the wrestling club (new wrestlers) are on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30.  Our facilities are at Nicolet High School and the program is administered by the Recreation Department. 

Duties/responsibilities:
•   Organize practice schedules & practice plans for K-8 Wrestling program
•   Collaborate with High School Coaches and other K-8 Youth Wrestling coaches on teaching moves, promotional opportunities, family outreach and expanding the overall wrestling program at Nicolet High School.
•   Attend all practices throughout the season and be available for organizational meetings on occasion during and off season.
•   Assist other Youth club Coaches in finding competition opportunities for the team including dual meets, open tournaments, team tournaments and entering into at  K-8 wrestling conference.
•   Travel to competition and provide coaching to participating athletes.
•   Keep records such as attendance and stats on athletes.

Qualifications:
•   3-5 years wrestling experience required, preferably a combination of coaching and competition experience at the high school and/or college level.
•   Basic knowledge of working with youth ages 5 to 18.
•   First-aid, CPR & coaching certifications are highly desirable
•   Availability weekday nights from 5:30-8:30 pm and some Saturday & Sunday availability for tournaments
